An information center serves both tourists as well as the residents of the village. It is located in the very heart of the village. In the traditional wooden mountain house you will find information about the village, leisure time activities, recommended hiking and biking routes, cultural and sports events in the region. You can also purchase folk crafts products originated from Dolní Lomná.
It is also a starting point to nature trails, to the local farmyard or to the mountain chalets of Polana and Kozubová. Since it is possible to visit the Mionší primeval forest (national natural reserve) only with a guide, such guides are available here (Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am). Alternatively, you can order a tour of the Mionší primeval forest at the municipal office (Tel. +420 558 358 720, +420 558 357 411) or by email firstname.lastname@example.org.
At the entry to the building, you will see a wooden figure by Franta Šiška – an imaginary citizen of Dolní Lomná about whom the most popular Czech singer from the region Jarek Nohavica wrote a legendary song. A kids’ playground is at the spot as well as relax areas for toursits and bikers, with bicycle stands.
